Peter Halsall received the Ontario Professional Engineers’ Gold Medal

Our esteemed colleague Peter Halsall received the Ontario Professional Engineers’ Gold Medal which recognizes an individual who has had an outstanding impact upon the industry and the profession.

Peter led the integration of sustainability, “before it was cool”, into all aspects of the Halsall Associates businesses since 1995 as it grew to over 350 employees and was recognized by Lifetime Achievement Awards from the Canada Green Building Council, Sustainable Buildings Canada and the Ontario Building Envelope Council.

Further in his career, Peter founded a few highly successful and innovative companies – a corporate sustainability advisor (Loop Initiatives), a software service for managing building data (BuildingWeb), a building project management company (Pivotal Projects), a non-profit data analytics company serving the non-profit sector (Purpose Analytics), a building restoration firm (Synergy Partners), and finally, Purpose Building, committed to accelerating real estate to planet-positive performance.
